The largest annual tour in Christian Music... Winter Jam Tour Spectacular
The Winter Jam Tour Spectacular has grown by over 40% over the past five years. Winter Jam 2009 had an average nightly paid attendance of 9,580 (335,304 in 35 shows.) In 2010, Winter Jam expanded to 44 shows from January to March. The confirmed tour package is Third Day, Newsboys, Tenth Avenue North, Fireflight, NewSong, Sidewalk Prophets, Revive, Robert Pierre, and Tony Nolan.

The most successful tour in the history of Christian Music... The Young Messiah
Proper Management created, produced, and managed The Young Messiah Tour from 1990 to 1996. This groundbreaking tour averaged more than 14,000 people a night and remains to this day, the most successful tour in the history of Christian Music.

NORMAN MILLER

Norman Miller formed Proper Management in 1983. Prior to that time, Miller had lived in his native UK, where after playing in Christian bands during his late teens and early 20's, started his own record label in 1970,which was later taken over by WORD RECORDS, an American owned Christian label operating in the UK. Miller was asked to become the Executive Director of WORD EUROPE which he accepted, and from 1973 till 1983 ran the label (with his good friend Ian Hamilton), as well as promoting and producing countless tours throughout Scandinavia and Europe, featuring top Christian artists from America, including LARRY NORMAN, ANDRAE CROUCH AND THE DISCIPLES, 2ND CHAPTER OF ACTS, BARRY MCGUIRE and JESSY DIXON..

In 1983, Miller moved to the States and started managing artists and producing tours on the other side of the pond. The first tour he produced was called THE YOUNG MESSIAH (a contemporary version of Handel’s Messiah), which opened in 1990 and toured every Christmas for the next six years. The tour averaged more than 14,000 people a night and remains to this day, the most successful tour in the history of Christian Music. The final performance of THE YOUNG MESSIAH took place in Jerusalem at the Citadel Of David. Miller was among a group of American Christians invited to take part in the 3000 anniversary of the city of Jerusalem being declared the capital of Israel by King David. Featuring a 250-piece orchestra and a 1000 voice choir it was a fitting finale for the contemporary version of Handel’s Messiah. Miller went on to produce many other major arena tours including EMMANUEL, MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST, I WORSHIP, WORSHIP TOGETHER and CHILD OF THE PROMISE.

Miller has also been the creator of several best selling Christian albums, including the ANDRAE CROUCH TRIBUTE ALBUM as well as SOULFUL CELEBRATION (a Gospel version of Handel’s Messiah) featuring artists like Stevie Wonder and Patti Austin. Quincy Jones conducted the Hallelujah Chorus. Both of these albums were released on the Warner Bros. label. Miller was awarded a Grammy for each of them. In 2008 Miller was presented with a multi platinum plaque certified by RIAA representing more then 20 million records sold by artists managed by Proper Management.

Several of Christian music’s favorite groups over the years were Millers brainchildren. He held auditions for these groups and put together, not just very talented artists and singers, but people with similar hearts and visions. These groups include AVALON, ZOEGIRL, JUMP5 and PURENRG.

STACEY JENNETTE

Stacey Jennette joined Proper Management in January 2000. During her tenure she has had the pleasure of working with Avalon, Nichole Nordeman, ZOEgirl, Michelle Tumes, Jump5, Bethany Dillon, Mark Schultz, pureNRG and Francesca Battistelli. In 2005, Jennette was named Partner and happily continues to serve alongside her artists today. She is proud to be a part of the best management team in the industry!

Jennette earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Belmont University. Prior to joining Proper Management Jennette worked in the A&R department at Sparrow Records, where at the time was home to artists such as Steven Curtis Chapman, Susan Ashton, Delirious, Avalon, Nichole Nordeman and ZOEgirl.

MIKE JAY

Mike Jay is a 1996 graduate of Belmont University. Mike spent the next 7 years on the road as a tour manager with acts such as Jars of Clay, Jim Brickman, Carman, Avalon, Twila Paris, Big Tent Revival, Clay Crosse, and the Child of the Promise Tour to name a few, before coming on board at Proper Management as an Artist Manager in 2003. Mike has worked to develop and further the careers of acts like Casting Crowns, Leeland, Twila Paris, Michael English, ZOEgirl and others as well as overseeing all of the touring for Proper Management. Mike is now a partner in the company, married with 2 children and lives in Franklin, TN.

NICK BARRE

Nick Barre joined Proper Management as an artist manager in 2008. Previously, Nick served as the Vice-president of Artist Development, for EMI CMG Label Group, the world’s largest Contemporary Christian Music record label. During his almost 12 years tenure at EMI, Nick oversaw the marketing strategies for Steven Curtis Chapman, Switchfoot, Chris Tomlin, Newsboys, Avalon, ZOEgirl, Jump5, and many others. Prior to EMI, Nick worked 5 years for Grammy-nominated record producer, Charlie Peacock.
